The Jamestown Renaissance Corporation was looking to freshen up the identity of their longstanding Downtown Farmers Market which would soon be reopening under a new name. Overall, the new branding needed to reflect the century-old history of the Market and the City of Jamestown while showcasing the variety of vendors participating in this weekly seasonal event. Additionally, this non-profit organization, was looking for collateral templates that could be reworked as needed in-house to reflect the ongoing needs of the Market.
The strength and versatility of this new branding can be seen in the typographic logo above. A bold, sans serif typeface— a direct homage to the Market’s original signage, is paired with a modern day slab serif to create a fresh identity that will work seamlessly in an infinite combination of seasonal themes or color combinations as shown below.
